The…Maybe it has to do with formant. For some reason, even some professional versions of autotune don’t have a good formant filter, while Vocaloid and UTAU do.
Or maybe it’s because choppy/slurry robot voices are a bit less stranded into the bottomless pit of the goddamn Uncanny Valley than singers who sing a bit too perfectly…
Yeah some autotune is really really bad.. let’s not even get started on T-pain olol. But, not all of it is bad concerning irl singers - that’s the thing. u__u And, I don’t think that it should all be categorized as such for a few bad eggs.
I just don’t see any real reason to bash out VOCALOID or irl groups. I dislike certain artists and groups for my own personal reasons, but I don’t go slamming my opinions into anyone’s faces. u__u I love my VOCALOID bbus, don’t get me wrong!! But… I don’t think that anyone should fangasm over them and maul “real singers”. I think that VOCALOID is a really lovely tool, especially for those who cannot sing and love music, and want to produce music! But, that doesn’t make the people who like it better than people who like irl artists/groups. :( To me, I think that they should be equal. I don’t like seeing these kids of wars go on. :c We’re all here for the music, brothas.~~ uwu
